Since 1997, RoboCup has fostered and produced numerous elite tech leaders and entrepreneurs. Building on this legacy and experience,  the RoboCup Asia-Pacific (RCAP) Confederation has decided to launch an Ambassador Program at both the international and regional levels. The RCAP Ambassador Program will be at the international level and the Regional Ambassador Program will be at the regional level.

The newly launched Ambassador Program will be a premier multifaceted talent development program that leverages RoboCup’s global network for leadership and talent development in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & many other interdisciplinary fields.

The RoboCup Singapore (RoboCupSG) Regional Committee has been tasked with running this pilot program at the regional level as the RoboCupSG Ambassador Program.

The RoboCup Singapore Regional Committee has organized the annual RoboCup Singapore Open since 2009. RoboCup Singapore’s initiatives (robocupsingapore.org) have seen participation from almost 100 local schools and reached over 20,000 students.

Like its international counterpart, the RCAP Ambassador Program, the RoboCupSG Ambassador Program aims to:

• Attract talented individuals by helping them discover, nurture, and strengthen different positive personal attributes.
• Impart both hard and soft skills in a meaningful and structured manner to fully unlock each participant’s fullest potential. 
• Imbue a strong sense of civic-mindedness through active and meaningful contributions to our society through Public and Community Service.
• Nurture each RoboCupSG Ambassador into a compassionate, confident, knowledgeable, future-proofed world-ready, and work-ready leader in a rapidly developing world.
